Atmos shows steely determination at Scottish Renewables Power League
A five-a-side team from Atmos Consulting took part in the Scottish Renewables Power League last Friday.
'Atmos Unathletic' was among 30 renewable energy sector teams taking part in the five-a-side football tournament.
A serious team talk ahead of the tournament from Business Development Manager, Conal McElroy, left the team raring to go with a 2-touch pass strategy.
The first game saw GIS Manager, Tom Hartley, limp off with an ankle injury, leaving the team with no substitute position. Undeterred, Atmos battled on with several shots at goal, one of which was swiftly put away by Conal McElroy.
A post match review of tactics saw GIS Technician, Tom Parkyn in goal and a refocus on moving forward to create more chances in goal.
The team members did the company proud, keeping up the pace for all of their matches, even with a member out. Tom Parkyn was a formidable defender in goal, keeping the opposition at bay, while Project Managers Sam Hesling and Jimmy Murray opened up opportunities for top scorers Conal McElroy and WindScan Development Manager, Martin Raynor.
Business Development Manager, Conal McElroy said: "This was a really fun event to be involved in. Although our skills on the football pitch left a lot to be desired, it was a great chance to socialise with colleagues in the industry."
